Awesome sauce.. if you're reading this, then you're viewing the latest revision of the Ravers Only website. It was a long time coming (ok.. it was a REALLY long time coming), but it's here, none the less.
With the "reboot" of the Candyball series of events, RO is back and with a fresh new look. Getting to this point has been anything but easy, and I'm sure I'm pretty qualified to make that statement with the amount of "versions" of "new" websites we've gone through that have never (and will never) see the light of day. I can honestly say I spent a good month+ working on at least 6 or 7 different "looks" or templates, none of which really were of any use at the end of the day. I kinda kept coming back to the same look and feel as the old site, only with a little slicker interface.
A lot of battles were waged within myself (and others) as to what needed to be done, and what should or shouldn't be a feature. Make it a fixed width, fluid to the user's browser, or what? Colour scheme? There really was the most little bits of nit-picking about nearly everything, but hey.. it's here, I like beer, and .. i dunno, something that rhymes with beer, or something like that.
Either way, I hope you'll enjoy what this site has to offer you this time around. I'll summarize some of the major changes you'll find around the site, but ultimately leave a lot of it up to you to find and explore yourselves.
Artists Page
It's more or less gotten a complete overhaul. The last one sucked, and frankly I don't think anyone really looked at it to begin with. I've tried to make this one a bit more intuitive and better put together. We'll see if it ever gets any play.
Events Listings
A completely custom designed application within the site. This is more or less an archive of all the RO events over the years, more or less a time capsule of what was in the past, so you can get all that info when you talk about the "good ol days!"..
Message Forums
Yup.. They are gone. It was a descision that was made for the time being. They may return one day, but for the meantime, they've been taken offline. All the old threads/messages/etc have all been kept, and are safe. Like I said, there's no plans right now to bring them back, but who knows. If there's something you desperately need from the board, such as a PM or whatnot, let me know and I'll see what I can do to pull it for you.
Mix Sets Page
Another completely re-written and customized interface. A lot of the music that was previously up will return over the next bit, however it may take some time. The focus here has also shifted to be more of an archive of sets from the RO events, with a little bit of stuff from other areas that Smoke feels he wants to throw up. A great part of this is the actual downloading of the files. I've rewritten the way files are served up to you, so even if you're interwebz stoopid, the file won't pop up in quicktime or itunes and try and play from your browser. You will be actually forced to download it. Granted, this sucks for the streaming crew, but... well, I can't think of anyone that streams these days anyways.. if it's really that much of an issue, we'll look at bringing it back.
Photo Archives
Sure enough.. more custom work. This again is an archive (are you beginning to see a pattern here?) of all the old pictures from past events. You'll find essentially ALL the old pictures here, but with a bit of a twist. Instead of just throwing up hundreds of thousands of photos, we've put up .ZIP files with all the images in them for easy downloading. If you're looking for photos from actual RaversOnly events, they can be found in the "Gallery" section of the website. Photos are sorted by year of the event, and then chronologically to help you find what you're looking for.

Just not every day. But, we DO want to hear from you! Tell us when something is broken, tell us when we've done a good job, or when you're tits are all in a knot over something. Hell, send us a picture of your tits if you REALLY want. Our inboxes are always open.
Anyways.. that's about the updates I can think of right now.
